I’ve not updated this recently, not because I don’t want to, but because I am really struggling with getting any information about what is going on.
This is what I personally know as of today.
The National Park planning web site will be updated with any further activity, and there will be a notification generated to people registered with it when this occurs. This is the link to the site http://eplanning.lochlomond-trossachs.org/OnlinePlanning/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=MNJWTGSI0AA00 I must however note that I have had a lot of issues with notifications from this website in the past just not working, so for anyone interested it is best to check manually.
There has been an update from the Loch Goil Community Trust (from the Community Council Meeting Minutes) to say that it has been agreed to approve an investment of 7.5% in the Hydro Scheme development, with an option to increase at a later date. Available information around this seems to be sketchy to say the least, with no firm figures available. At the latest meeting it was commented with regard to this that ‘no figures were available’. It seems a bit odd to me that the community is investing 7.5% – but no one seems to know 7.5% of what?
I have also unofficially heard that a complaint has been put in to the National Park around how the planning process was handled. I will put a more detailed post about this in.
Also unofficially I heard that contractors have been seen near the site by local residents so the developer may be gearing to start work on this soon.
