There has been a lot of progress made on the path in the last couple of days. A lot of it has been levelled off ready to be surfaced, and (critically) drainage pipes are now funnelling the water into a channel at the side rather than having it running down the middle. A lot of dead trees and debris have also been removed – and you can actually start to see what it will look like when it is finished. It has actually improved the view greatly by removing a lot of the overgrown spruce that were there, so hopefully some native trees will be planted in that area. For the first time I am starting to get the feeling that the path actually will be reopened to meet the next deadline.
The turbine is now actually installed into the ‘doughnut’.
